Perseids - spectacular meteor show

MeteorEarth is going to pass through the stream of debris from Swift-Tuttle comet. Earth goes through this stream every year, and when it does we are able to observe quite a spectacular meteor show. The peak this year is scheduled 11th and 12th of August, so make sure you do not miss it! Here's what NASA suggests for the best observation:

"Unfold a blanket on a flat patch of ground. (Note: The middle of your street is not a good choice.) Lie down and look up. Perseids can appear in any part of the sky, their tails all pointing back to the shower's radiant in the constellation Perseus. Get away from city lights if you can."

In Britain the best place to observe the meteors is south-east which will not be covered much in clouds according to MET.
